England beat France to seal Grand Slam hat-trick

With a convincing victory over a 14-player France squad in Bordeaux, England completed a third consecutive Six Nations Grand Slam and sixth consecutive title.

Before Assia Khalfaoui was sent out in the second half, John Mitchell's merciless team scored five tries in the first half, extending the Red Roses' championship winning record to 29 games.

Unfazed by enthusiastic home crowd support, England made a flying start with scores from forwards Maud Muir and Alex Matthews, followed by a response from Gabrielle Vernier.
