Rangers beat Hearts to set up final with Celtic

Hearts were defeated at Hampden by a goal each side of halftime, led by Cyriel Dessers, who propelled Rangers into their first Scottish Cup final versus Celtic since 2002.

Within five minutes, the Nigerian international opened the score beneath Craig Gordon with a low left-footed strike. Later on, after his first attempt was saved, a deflected effort ensured the victory.

Hearts had their chances to score, but they lacked the skill and poise to get past a Rangers defense that had shown signs of weakness in recent weeks.
