Daniel Wiffen claims 1500m freestyle gold

Daniel Wiffen, an Irish swimmer, won a convincing gold medal in the 1500 freestyle final in Doha, his second gold medal at the World Aquatics Championships.

In an attempt to surpass China's Sun Yang's world record (14:31.02), the 22-year-old led the entire distance.

Even though Wiffen missed Sun's time, he finished in 14:34.07, leaving a top-notch field in his wake.
