2022年杭州亚洲残奥会于周日开幕，香港代表队在首日便取得显著成绩。邓韦乐在男子S14级200米自由泳决赛中以1分56秒76的成绩打破亚洲残奥会记录，连续三届夺冠，为港队摘得了该届首枚金牌。同时，队友张浚诺和黄汉彦分别获得银牌和铜牌，为港队包揽该项目前三名。不过，另一名选手区乐诒在女子SB9级100米蛙泳决赛中因犯规被取消资格，遗憾失去了奖牌机会。
