Pooran, Powell help WI hammer nine-man Australia

In their warm-up encounter ahead of the T20 World Cup here, West Indies defeated a nine-man Australia by 35 runs thanks to fifty-score efforts from Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell.

The Australians only fielded nine players against the Windies, just like they did in their first training match against Namibia. Fielding, selector George Bailey and head coach Andrew McDonald occupied the final two positions.

When batting first, the West Indies amassed 257 for 4 in 20 overs because to fifty-fives from Pooran (75, 25b, 5x4, 8x6), Powell (52, 25b, 4x4, 4x6), and Sherfane Rutherford (4x4, 4x6), who scored an undefeated 47 off 18 balls.
