LeBron James Declines Lakers Option, Seeks Max Contract to Play with Son

LeBron James, a 39-year-old NBA superstar, has declined his $41.4 million player option with the Los Angeles Lakers. He reportedly seeks a new 3-year, $162 million maximum contract, allowing him to play alongside his son Bronny, who was recently drafted by the Lakers. Bronny will wear the number 9 jersey and the name "James Jr." The father-son duo will be coached by former player J.J. Redick, who replaced Darvin Ham as the Lakers' new head coach.
