Provinces to help cover central IRFU contracts

According to a change in the Irish Rugby Football Union's (IRFU) finance arrangement, starting with the upcoming season, the four provinces would contribute "up to 30%" toward the cost of players on central contracts.

Leinster currently has nine players under central contracts with the IRFU, compared to one each for Munster, Connacht, and Ulster.

According to the IRFU, the union committee of the governing body, the provinces, and the steering committee all approve the review's recommendations.
