According to Reports , Several teams which considered drafting Bronny James decided against it as they felt the media attention and opposing LeBron James' wishes wasn't worth it. Bronny's agent Rich Paul also allegedly threatened teams that Bronny would head to Australia if he was drafted anywhere aside from the Los Angeles Lakers. Being respectful to LeBron, media attention and Rich Paul ultimately discouraged teams from drafting him.
