Diana Taurasi, the WNBA`s all-time leading scorer, has officially announced her retirement after an illustrious 20-season career with the Phoenix Mercury. Taurasi`s remarkable journey includes three WNBA championships in 2007, 2009, and 2014, along with a WNBA MVP award in 2009 and six Olympic gold medals. She holds numerous records, including career points (10,646), field goals (3,341), 3-pointers (1,447), and free throws (2,517) in the regular season. In the playoffs, she leads in career points (1,486) and 3-pointers (217).

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert hailed Taurasi as "one of the greatest competitors to ever play the game of basketball on any stage," acknowledging her significant contributions to the league. In other WNBA developments, the Minnesota Lynx have signed Camryn Taylor and Christyn Williams to training camp contracts as they gear up for the 2025 season. After reaching the WNBA Finals in 2024, the Lynx aim to build on their success.
