Ben Shelton has been announced as the final participant for the Bastide Médical UTS Nîmes event, scheduled for April 4th to 5th, 2025, at the Arènes de Nîmes. This innovative tournament format features eight elite players competing in a thrilling world championship that culminates in a Grand Final.

The UTS format is designed for fast-paced action, consisting of four quarters of 8 minutes each, with a simplified scoring system where each point won equals one point earned. The first player to secure three quarters wins the match. Additionally, players can utilize bonus cards for tactical advantages, enhancing the excitement of the competition.

Live interviews between quarters, with players and coaches mic`d up, add a unique layer of engagement for fans. The event also embraces a relaxed code of conduct, allowing for a more authentic atmosphere. Entertainment elements, including a DJ and an MC, will further transform the traditional tennis experience.
