Alcohol banned from France team gatherings

In an effort to enhance off-field discipline, the French Rugby Federation (FFR) has prohibited players from consuming alcohol at national team events.
Melvyn Jaminet, a full-back for France, was fined 30,000 euros (£25,335) and suspended for 34 weeks by the FFR in July for sharing a racist video on social media while on a summer tour of Argentina.
During the same trip, his teammates Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou, both 21 years old, were also accused of aggravated rape of a 39-year-old lady, a charge they both refute.
