Injury-hit Cilic creates ATP history with comeback

With an emotional triumph at the Hangzhou Open, former US Open winner Marin Cilic became the lowest-ranked player to win an ATP Tour event.
Cilic of Croatia, who began the tournament ranked 777th in the world, having missed much of the previous two seasons due to a knee condition that necessitated numerous operations.
Given a wildcard to play in Hangzhou, the former world number three had not won an ATP Tour match in 22 months until this week.
