Otis Poole and Bianca Williams excelled at the UK Indoor Championships, securing spots for the World Indoors.

Otis Poole made history at the UK Athletics Indoor Championships 2025, held at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, by winning the men’s 60m in a stunning 6.57 seconds. At just 16 years old, Poole became the youngest ever British indoor champion, outpacing seasoned sprinters like Jeremiah Azu and Eugene Amo-Dadzie. His victory secures him a place on the team for the upcoming World Indoor Championships in Glasgow.

On the women’s side, Bianca Williams delivered an extraordinary performance to clinch the 60m title in 7.17 seconds, just seven months after giving birth. The 31-year-old solicitor, who had never previously made a British team, triumphed over competitors Asha Philip and Daryll Neita, earning her spot at the World Indoors.

In field events, Scott Lincoln defended his shot put title with a throw of 20.03m, while Jazmin Sawyers soared to long jump gold with a leap of 6.75m. Keely Hodgkinson showcased her talent by winning the 800m in 1:57.71, and Josh Zeller took the 60m hurdles title with a time of 7.53 seconds.
